Party of Special Things to Do is back, and will feature on the second Saturday of each month for 2015!

An assortment of sound-makers offer an eclectic multitude of improvised delights. Performances are between 10 and 30 minutes each.

Performance starts at 7:40 sharp!

Blank Tapes – is  Richard Benjamin Solomon Keys & Brett Ryan serving up circuit bent modular madness, and DAW detournment.

Adam Willets & Alex Donnithorne – with their modular, technoid mutations.

Nicolas Woollaston – DIY synth noise meltdown.

As an artistic response to the artist’s participation in the ‘SCIPA’ spinal rehabilitation programme in 2013, Incomplete / Disconnect uses audio, video and data gathered during the programme to produce visual and sonic works that respond to movement within the gallery space.

Andrew McMillan is an improviser, composer and sound artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. Since a spinal injury in 2004 Andrew has been looking for ways to keep active and continue making music and sound work through his improvising, composition and collaborative work in theatre, dance, film and T.V.

Mela will perform beatific cathedral drones on dusty old keys, and broken effects units.

Drone Improv Ensemble brings together various ne’er do wells from the local Cantabrian sonic arts community and electroacoustically binds them together in an open ended minimalist exploration of sonic drone possibilities.
