The Auricle’s Rekindle Bar – Now on TradeMe!
The Auricle’s Bar was lovingly crafted by Rekindle artisans from weatherboard timbers sourced from family homes demolished in Canterbury’s post earthquake Red Zone suburbs. A beautifully practical snapshot of post earthquake Cantabrian arts enterprise, a part of the Canterbury Recovery’s communal art history, we strongly feel this work of art deserves a life beyond the Auricle on New Regent Street.
Former Rekindle carpenter Tim McGurk has kindly offered to reconstruct the bar anywhere in Christchurch (hourly rates apply). The Auricle’s Rekindle Bar is open for inspection at 35 New Regent Street Wed-Sun noon to 5pm until its last trading day on Sunday May 1.
